COOKING PROCESS
Place the chicken drumsticks into your slow cooker. Add the smashed garlic, sliced white parts of the scallions, light soy sauce, dark sweet soy sauce, chicken powder, and turmeric powder. Add a bit of salt if you like it well-seasoned.
Mix the chicken and seasonings well, making sure the drumsticks are coated with the sauces and spices.
Add the baby potatoes and pour in 300 ml of water. Give everything another quick mix.
Cover with the lid and cook for 2–3 hours, or until the chicken is tender and falling off the bone and the potatoes are cooked through.
Cooking times can vary between slow cookers, so check the chicken before serving.
Once the chicken is cooked, sprinkle over the sliced green scallions.
Serve your slow cooker chicken and potatoes hot with steamed rice and spoon over plenty of the delicious savoury sauce.
